If you’ve never had a go then you must, there are climbs for all abilities and Outdoor Horizons are experts at introducing beginners to climbing. Let us worry about the safety, we have been doing it for years without problems.
See your kids amaze themselves, and follow them if you can. Trust your friends or colleagues with your safety and then take responsibility for theirs, that’s real teamwork. Challenge yourself to abseil down a cliff, dare you take that first step backwards?
If you don’t want to get involved with ropes then try bouldering. This pure form of climbing keeps you low to the ground while you challenge yourself with a variety of problems, from scrambling over easy rocks to modern test-pieces, all with the support of experienced climbers and, if necessary, a crash-mat.
We can offer an introduction to climbing either indoors at a local climbing wall, or outdoors on natural rock. Try both with a two day Inside Out course, beginning in the wall and progressing to a natural crag. Alternatively half a day of climbing or bouldering can be combined with half a day of walking, navigation training or mountain skills.

Night activities such as Night Navigation sessions and the overnight Wild Camping Experience are charged at the daily rate. (i.e. 2 days mountain walking with an overnight wild camp is charged as 3 days.)
